Description

The Wampler Triumph Overdrive is a highly versatile “all-in-one” drive pedal designed to deliver everything from smooth, classic overdrive to punchy, modern mid-focused gain tones. Built as part of Wampler’s Collective Series, it blends two of Brian Wampler’s favourite overdrive circuit inspirations into a single, compact platform, with expanded EQ and voicing options that make it far more flexible than traditional mid-hump style drives.

At its core, the Triumph excels at delivering rich, harmonically complex overdrive that sits perfectly in a mix. Its dual voicing modes—Smooth and Punch—let players switch between compressed, vintage-style gain and a more open, dynamic response with tighter low end and improved articulation. Combined with a full 3-band EQ, it offers an unusually wide tonal range for a pedal in this category, making it equally suited to blues, rock, alternative, and modern high-gain stacking setups.

Whether used as an always-on tone shaper, a primary drive, or a boost into an already cooking amp, the Triumph responds dynamically to your playing and cleans up beautifully from the guitar’s volume knob. It’s designed to be simple on the surface, but deep in practical tonal control.
