The Strymon Lex V2 Rotary Modulation Pedal recreates the rich movement, swirling modulation, and tube-driven warmth of classic rotary speaker cabinets with exceptional realism and depth. Inspired by legendary Leslie® speaker systems, the Lex V2 captures every nuance of a complete rotary setup,  from the spinning horn and low-frequency drum rotor to microphone placement, cabinet resonance, and tube amplifier saturation, all in a compact pedalboard-friendly format.

Powered by Strymon’s upgraded 520MHz ARM DSP platform and premium analog JFET input circuitry, the Lex V2 delivers remarkably lifelike rotary textures with smooth acceleration, dimensional stereo movement, and dynamic touch sensitivity. Whether used for vintage organ-style swirl, psychedelic modulation, classic rock textures, or ambient spatial movement, the Lex V2 provides an immersive and highly musical rotary experience for guitar, keyboards, synths, and studio production.

Features

  • Authentic rotary speaker simulation accurately recreating rotating horn, bass rotor, cabinet resonance, tube amp drive, and microphone interactions
  • Independent slow and fast rotor speed controls allowing highly customizable Leslie-style ramping and modulation behaviour
  • Realistic acceleration and braking response modelling the natural inertia and speed transitions of vintage rotary cabinets
  • Dedicated Brake function stopping the rotary system in place for dramatic tonal variation and classic studio effects
  • Tube-style Preamp Drive control adding harmonic saturation, warmth, grit, and vintage cabinet coloration
  • Horn Level control adjusting the balance and presence of the high-frequency rotating horn
  • Mic Distance and Mic Position controls recreating different microphone placements for varying stereo width, ambience, and modulation intensity
  • Front/Rear cabinet mic simulation offering either diffuse vintage warmth or more direct focused rotary tone
  • Dry Mix control blending clean signal with the rotary effect for subtle enhancement or full immersive modulation
  • Bi-Amp mode splitting horn and woofer outputs independently for advanced stereo routing and studio applications
  • Cab Filter mode optimised for direct connection to mixers, interfaces, FRFR systems, and studio monitors
  • Stereo inputs and outputs delivering expansive three-dimensional spatial imaging and immersive modulation movement
  • Premium analog Class-A JFET input stage ensuring exceptional responsiveness, low noise, and natural feel
  • 24-bit / 96kHz audio conversion with 32-bit floating-point processing for studio-grade clarity and dynamic range
  • Full MIDI implementation via TRS MIDI and USB-C for preset recall, automation, MIDI clock sync, and deep rig integration
  • 300 MIDI-accessible presets supporting advanced live and studio workflows
  • Expression pedal and MultiSwitch compatibility enabling real-time speed control and parameter morphing
  • Selectable true bypass or buffered bypass for flexible pedalboard integration
  • Line-level compatibility supporting synths, keyboards, active basses, effects loops, and studio gear
