The MXR M85 Bass Distortion delivers aggressive, powerful distortion while preserving the deep, punchy low-end frequencies that bass players need. Co-designed with Ryan Ratajski, founder of Fuzzrocious Pedals, this versatile analogue pedal takes a famously gritty distortion circuit and adapts it specifically for bass guitar, providing thick, saturated tones without sacrificing clarity or definition.

Featuring separate Dry and Wet level controls, the M85 gives you complete control over the blend between your clean bass signal and distorted tone. This allows you to retain your instrument's fundamental low frequencies while adding aggressive distortion and harmonic richness. The dedicated Tone control shapes the high-frequency content of the distorted signal, while the Distortion control adjusts the intensity of the effect.

The M85 also features two selectable clipping modes: Silicon and LED. Silicon mode delivers an aggressive, biting distortion with added compression, while LED mode provides a more open sound with increased gain. Whether you're playing heavy rock, metal, punk or alternative music, the MXR M85 offers exceptional tonal flexibility and plenty of attitude.
