MXR M309 Joshua Ambient Echo Effects Pedal

The MXR M309 Joshua Ambient Echo Effects Pedal is a powerful and versatile delay pedal designed to create everything from classic psychedelic echoes to expansive, atmospheric soundscapes. Combining highly customisable delay effects with lush modulation and unique octave-enhanced textures, the Joshua Ambient Echo brings an extraordinary range of sonic possibilities to your pedalboard. Inspired by the iconic guitar sounds of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, it delivers everything from rhythmic repeats and vintage-inspired echoes to dreamy, ethereal ambient effects.

At the heart of the M309 is an extensive delay engine with dedicated controls for delay time, regeneration and rhythmic subdivisions. Six selectable division settings allow you to shape the timing and feel of your echoes, while the ECHO 2 function adds a secondary set of repeats for more complex, layered delay patterns. The built-in modulation circuit introduces movement and depth, while the innovative VOICE control blends lower and higher octave signals into your delay sound, creating rich, organ-like textures and celestial atmospheres.

For additional performance flexibility, the Joshua Ambient Echo features onboard tap tempo, an external control input, selectable Trails mode and a Hold function for sustaining delay lines while playing over them. With stereo output capability, expression pedal compatibility and extensive customisation options, the MXR M309 is an exceptional tool for guitarists looking to explore creative delay effects and immersive ambient sound design.
