Created in partnership with Keringke Arts in Santa Teresa, Northern Territory, this ukulele celebrates the vibrant culture, knowledge, and artistic expression of Central Australia. Each instrument features authentic Aboriginal artwork by Margaret Bloomfield, showcasing the desert plants and traditional bushfoods found throughout her Country.

The artwork, titled **“Bushfoods”**, illustrates native foods commonly gathered and enjoyed in the desert, including wild passionfruit (*Arrutnenge*), bush banana (*Alangkwe*), witchetty grubs, honey ants, and bush coconut. As Margaret explains, *“It is important to me to teach the young kids and pass on the knowledge the right way.”*
This ukulele stands as a musical tribute to that cultural legacy — a celebration of knowledge sharing, community, and connection to Country.

Developed by Jacaranda Music and Kala Brand Music, the Desert StoryLines series ensures direct support for the participating artists. Through formal agreements with Keringke Arts, each artist receives a **6% royalty** from every instrument sold.
