Ibanez RGA742EX-BAM 7 String Electric Guitar – Black Aurora Burst

Ibanez RGA742EX-BAM 7 String Electric Guitar – Black Aurora Burst

The Ibanez RGA742EX-BAM in Black Aurora Burst Matte is a dynamic 7-string electric guitar engineered for modern rock, metal and extended-range players who demand speed, precision and powerful tone. Its aggressive yet ergonomic RGA body shape offers comfortable upper-fret access and a sleek feel, while the satin finish and black hardware deliver a bold, contemporary aesthetic that stands out onstage.

At the heart of this instrument is Ibanez’s famed Wizard II-7 bolt-on maple neck, a slim, flat and fast profile that enables effortless playability across all 24 jumbo frets — ideal for fast runs, wide interval riffs and complex chord voicings typical of modern playing styles. The 25.5" scale length and quality construction provide balanced tension and clarity across all seven strings, even in lower tunings.

Tone comes from a pair of Ibanez Quantum 7 humbucking pickups, voiced to deliver tight low-end response, articulate mids and crisp highs that cut through dense mixes. A 5-way pickup selector, along with simple volume and tone controls, gives you flexible sonic shaping without clutter. The fixed F107 bridge enhances sustain and stability, letting you focus on performance with confidence.

With its combination of sleek playability, versatile tone and striking Black Aurora Burst finish, the RGA742EX-BAM is a compelling choice for players looking to explore extended-range guitar playing in rock, metal, progressive and beyond.
