Ibanez AW247CE Artwood Acoustic Guitar - Weathered Black

The Ibanez AW247CE Artwood combines classic dreadnought projection with modern acoustic-electric versatility and a distinctive Weathered Black Open Pore finish. Its cutaway dreadnought body provides a powerful, balanced acoustic voice while giving players comfortable access to the upper frets, making it equally suited to strumming, fingerpicking, songwriting and live performance.

A Solid Okoume top delivers a warm, full-bodied midrange with a bright tonal character, while the Okoume back and sides provide a woody warmth when played softly and punchy high-mids with clear projection when strummed. The open-pore Weathered Black finish highlights the natural character of the wood for a distinctive, understated appearance.

The AW247CE features an AW Nyatoh neck and comfortable Ovangkol fretboard, while the 48mm nut width provides generous string spacing for fingerstyle playing. An Ovangkol bridge, bone nut and compensated bone saddle contribute to efficient string vibration transfer and a natural, warm acoustic response.

For amplified performance, the guitar is equipped with an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup and AEQ-TP2 preamp with onboard tuner. The preamp provides volume and two-band bass/treble EQ controls, along with an easy-to-read digital tuner. Balanced XLR and 1/4" outputs make the AW247CE ready for connection to a wide range of acoustic amplifiers, PA systems and recording equipment.
