Description

The D’Addario NYXL Heavy 12–54 set is a premium uncoated electric guitar string pack built for players who demand higher tension, stronger output, and rock-solid tuning stability. Featuring a high-carbon NY Steel core and nickel-plated wrap wire, these strings offer superior strength, enhanced midrange presence, and a bold, punchy tone that cuts through any mix. The heavy 12–54 gauge provides increased resistance and control, making it ideal for hard picking, drop tunings, and powerful rhythm work, while still allowing flexibility thanks to its plain steel G string.

  • Heavy gauge (12–54): Increased tension for powerful tone and stable tuning
  • NY Steel core construction: Up to 40% greater strength and improved break resistance
  • Enhanced tuning stability: Stays in tune longer and tunes faster than standard strings
  • Nickel-plated steel wrap: Bright, punchy tone with strong midrange presence
  • Fusion Twist technology: Greater tuning reliability and durability
  • Plain steel G string: Added flexibility compared to traditional heavy sets
  • Uncoated design: Natural feel with maximum resonance and output
