Description

The D’Addario NYXL Light Top / Heavy Bottom 8-String (10–74) set is a premium uncoated string pack designed for extended-range players who need both flexibility and tight low-end definition. Featuring a hybrid gauge, it pairs lighter top strings for smooth bending with heavier bottom strings for powerful, articulate lows—ideal for heavy riffs and modern tunings. Built with a high-carbon NY Steel core and nickel-plated wrap wire, these strings deliver enhanced strength, superior tuning stability, and a focused midrange presence that cuts through dense mixes.

  • Light top / heavy bottom gauge (10–74): Flexible highs with tight, punchy low-end response
  • Hybrid design: Combines regular high strings with heavier lows for balanced playability and power
  • NY Steel core construction: Increased strength and improved resistance to breakage
  • Enhanced tuning stability: Stays in tune longer and tunes faster than standard strings
  • Nickel-plated steel wrap: Bright tone with pronounced midrange and strong output
  • Fusion Twist technology: Greater tuning reliability and durability
  • Uncoated design: Natural feel with maximum resonance and sustain
