At the heart of the GP-310 is the Natural Grand Hammer Action keyboard, featuring full-length wooden keys and a realistic hammer mechanism that closely replicates the feel and response of a concert grand piano. The action uses the same materials and construction techniques found in acoustic grand pianos, allowing for highly expressive control and nuanced performance. 

The piano is powered by Casio’s AiR Grand Sound Source, delivering rich, detailed sound from three meticulously sampled European concert grand pianos, Berlin, Hamburg, and Vienna. Combined with the Grand Acoustic System, a powerful six-speaker, multi-channel sound system, the GP-310 produces an immersive sound field similar to playing a real grand piano. 

Additional acoustic simulation features such as string resonance, damper resonance, hammer response, and lid simulation allow players to shape the instrument’s tone and behaviour just like an acoustic grand piano.
