At introduction, the original MonoPoly’s outstanding analog capabilities were somewhat overlooked in the wake of the emerging digital era synths—although not before finding its way into the hands of Depeche Mode and the Chemical Brothers, to name just a few. Today’s enthusiasts have re-discovered the vintage “sleeper’ for all its charms and abilities. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, Behringer’s MonoPoly is closely based on the short-lived 1982 classic, with some essential modern features, road-ready construction, and a very accessible price.

Equipped with four analog oscillators (each capable of four different waveforms), MonoPoly can produce chest-pounding bass lines and a highly present upper range that allows solos and hooks to slice through the densest of mixes. “Paraphonic” Mode (four VCOs into one ASDR) expands this very capable Mono-Synth into a four-voice powerhouse of pulsating pads and rich orchestral string sounds across the entire 6-octave range.

True to early 80s analog form, the Behringer MonoPoly is outfitted with a classic VCF, two LFOs, two envelopes, sync, cross modulation, portamento, 24db low pass filter, and a full-featured arpeggiator. The vintage-style wood-capped enclosure houses a semi-weighted velocity-sensitive key bed with 37 full-sized keys, plus a spring-loaded pitch bender and mod wheel. The control panel lays flat with the keys or can be tilted up for easy access to all 62 dials and switches, which will keep you happily tweaking and sculpting ‘till it sounds just right. On top of everything--Behringer’s MonoPoly is equipped with multiple inputs and outputs for control over filter cutoff, pitch, CV/Gate, and MIDI connectivity, bringing this classic effortlessly into the modern world.

Analogue 4-Voice Polyphonic Synthesiser with 37 Full-Size Keys, 4 VCOs, VCF, 2 LFOs, 2 Envelopes, Sync and Cross Modulation and Arpeggiator

True to the Original
Great care has been taken in engineering the MONOPOLY, including the true-to-the-original analogue circuitry, 4 VCOs and incredibly flexible key modes for monophonic, duophonic and 4-voice polyphonic playstyles. This highly focused attention to detail is what gives the MONOPOLY its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability and allows you to recreate tones that are evocative of classic electronic music. It gives you the ability to cover a lot of amazing tones from super-fat bass, tasty leads – all the way to full-on dreamy ambience from the far reaches of your imagination.

Big, Fat Tones
The synthesiser tracks laid down in the ‘80s in progressive rock, wave and synth-pop have become classics and have inspired many other artists. The MONOPOLY lets you recreate all that magic – or design some incredible and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right!

The 1980s was an amazing decade for electronic music. Artists like Vince Clarke and bands like Depeche Mode have used synthesisers to great effect, creating hits such as Just Can't Get Enough and People are People. What synthesiser could they have used, you might ask? It was none other than the MonoPoly synth, which was only available for 3 years before it was taken off the shelves and has become a true collector's item.
Today, we're bringing this beauty to the 21st century with the Behringer MONOPOLY.
